Enjoy a snapshot of the major sights in the three main cities of Vietnam in one concise tour. Visit Hanoi, Hoi An and Saigon and capture the varied faces of the country, bringing to life the beauty of its scenery, the depth of its history and the vibrancy of its people.
DAY 2: HANOI
The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples. This full day tour takes you around Hanoi’s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his Stilts House, Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda nearby, the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake with lovers street Thanh Nien, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda. Take 01 hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter to enjoy the soul and sound of Hanoi. End the day with a show of Water Puppet.
DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY
After breakfast, drive to Ha Long Bay with 4 hours travelling for the overnight cruise on a deluxe junk. Begin with a seafood lunch then explore some limestone caves. In the afternoon enjoy a swim or relax in the sun on the top deck or try your hand at some kayaking.
DAY 4: HA LONG BAY – HANOI
This morning continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas to either swim or kayak. At around midday, the boat will return to the main harbour before transferring to an awaiting vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi to spend the night.
DAY 5: HANOI – FLY TO DANANG – HOI AN
Fly to Danang. Upon arrival transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An, visit the tranquility and charm of the town with its low tiled houses of Chinese appearance, Japanese covered bridge, brightly painted temples and pagodas make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Vietnam.
Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 7: HOI AN – FLY TO SAIGON
This morning you will fly to the cosmopolitan city of Saigon. Upon arrival you will explore the city with a visit to the French-style Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Learn about the American War in Vietnam with a visit to the Reunification Palace and the emotionally-charged War Remnants Museum. End the day at the lively Ben Thanh Market where you can enjoy some shopping.
DAY 8: SAIGON – CU CHI & TAY NINH
Heading out of town we drive north to visit the head quarter of Cao Dai sect in Tay Ninh. This religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members.
On arrival we see the ornate temple and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war.

DAY 9: MEKONG DELTA
This morning travel to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Life in the Mekong Delta mainly revolves around the river and many of the villages are only accessible by the canals. Explore the river by boat, passing stilt houses and fish farms. Paddle through palm-lined canals in sampans and walk through villages, where you can sample local tea and coconut candy. Return to Saigon this afternoon and spend overnight there.
